Our Love Story | Mod Memento Giveaway at LMM

Ok. So I’m not really a giveaway type girl…I mean I don’t always go the full length to enter and such. But I really want this print. It’s very modern…usually not my bag because I dig vintage decor, but I can’t resist this:

So this is Ashley from LittleMissMomma’s love story with her hubs. Here is what mine would say…and I got a little choked up writing it (tear).

Heather + Steve
High school friends. Never saw each other “that way”.

4th of July 2000 they shared a kiss beneath fireworks.

They felt fireworks. 8 years together. SF State and marketing degrees.

Graduation and a sweet daughter born. Life as they knew it was changed forever.

Never so blessed until… 4th of July 2009. A proposal (fianlly!). She said yes. July 4th 2010 life came full circle.

They were married and professed their love before their dear family and friends.

Anxiously awaiting their next little blessing.

The best has yet to come…

With that…I realized that I never shared our wedding pictures! Here’s one until I get my act together…

I really want that print! If you want it too, enter at LittleMissMomma.

XO

This or That? Forward Facing Book Shelves

Forward Facing Book Shelves So be honest, which ones do you like better? Left or right? Personally I would go for the ones on the right…they’re a little more polished, with nice detail. But the price of the forward facing book shelves on the left sure changed my mind! Get this, the ones on the left are spice racks from Ikea and are only $4 each! So for a mere 12 bucks you can have 3 forward facing book shelves! You can find the bookshelves on the right at the wonderful  Land of Nod, but at $49 for one shelf!

I love this idea, thank you Domestic Simplicity, and can’t wait to pick the spice racks up at Ikea on the way to go visit mom in Napa (unfortunately we don’t have an Ikea in Vegas…sad day). I think that I’ll give the shelves a little vintage/ shabby chic appeal by painting them white or pink and scuffing them up a bit with sand paper. We shall see!

H is for Happy…

Cute "H" PillowPhoto love decor8 on flickr

I love this “H” pillow. Not just because it’s my first initial, but because it’s a sweet gift idea for a nursery…or any friend really. Also, I’d like to try and make something similar in and “A” for my daughter’s room. Addie’s room is pink and green (just like the fabric here) , and she has a huge mint green polka dot chair that this could sit on.  How perfect. And inspiring.

Happy Sunday!

PS! I had no idea that decor8 was a blog! I found the lovely little pillow image on flickr and today I was browsing around and came upon decor8! I love Holly’s blog and am excited to have found her:)
